Installation Guide for x86 Compatible PCs
running Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7

This release of i-TRiLOGI is designed to automatically use the most stable, Java JRE 1.4.2_19   to run the i-TRiLOGI and TLServer program. JRE 1.4.2 was proven   to fix almost all reported problems that occurred on some PCs running newer version of JRE. We therefore highly recommend you Install JRE 1.4.2_19.

Also note that you can install JRE 1.4.2_19 even there is already a newer version of JRE on your PC. It will not overwrite the default settings assigned to the newer version. i-TRiLOGI will use JRE 1.4.2_19 even if there are other JRE present. Please follow the steps described below:

1.   Installing JRE 1.4.2_19

If you have the i-TRiLOGI installation CD-ROM, then please open the folder "x86-Windows" and run the following file:

                 j2re-1_4_2_19-windows-i586-p.exe  

If you don't have the CD-ROM, you can download and Install JRE 1.4.2_19 from Java.com website. Please install into the default folder:   "C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_19" (32-bit Windows) or  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\j2re1.4.2_19" (64-bit Windows). You may be asked to restart the computer after installing JRE. Follow the instructions so that JRE will be registered in the Windows Registry after restart.

2.   Installing i-TRiLOGI

  1. After you have installed JRE 1.4.2 or later, open up the CD-ROM's "x86-Windows" folder and double-click on the "SetupTL6.exe" to extract all i-TRiLOGI files into Drive C:.  Note that i-TRiLOGI should be installed in the same hard drive as the JRE otherwise some of the JRE class files may not work properly.
  2. All i-TRiLOGI Version 6 files will be installed in the following directory: "C:\TRiLOGI\TL6".  You normally would not need to go directly to this directory to run i-TRiLOGI. This is  because during installation of i-TRiLOGI, a program Group folder "i-TRiLOGI 6.0" will be created to in the Start Menu to provide short cuts to the TLServer program, the i-TRiLOGI application and the TL6Applet starter.

3.   Installing Language Pack

If you intend to use i-TRiLOGI version 6 in other languages beside English, you can install the relevant language pack either from the i-TRiLOGI version 6 CD-ROM or download it from our website by following the path in the file "upgrade.htm" in your CD-ROM to obtain the upgrade. Currently only a few language versions are supported but we will expand them as and when new language pack becomes available.
